Since Cannon and Cruiz took off crawling, something has happened, something I’ve waited to see for way too long -
My kids are interacting.
Playing.
Even fighting.
I love it.
Our days might be mundane, but I’ve grown to love them. Each day that we sit on the ground, play, eat cheerios, and break up fights over “Ledger’s” toys,
I count my many blessings.
At times I marvel over the fact we were blessed with twins. Sometimes it feel like Heavenly Father threw in an extra little baby for us. And though we’ve had four kids, and never experienced just two at a time, watching three little boys interact is hilarious, wonderful, and amazing, all at the same time.
Multiple nights we have found Ledger playing with the twins, jumping from crib to crib.
I’ll find Ledger sitting in-between Cruiz and Cannon’s bumbos feeding them, and stealing a few pieces for himself.
And just this morning I heard him kiss a baby, and say, “Cruiz, you’re the best baby in the world!”
And of course they fight… but at times I can’t help but smile because it means Ledger has siblings to fight with.
And while we’re on this topic I thought I’d share :) I thought I was being sneaky, taping them when all three refused to sleep… and I caught Ledger red handed! I think I’ll title it, “What the Heck?”
My house might not be clean, dinner might be grilled cheese, and let’s not even talk about laundry… but I feel so incredibly blessed to sit on the floor each day and play with three little boys.
And as I watch all three play together, I can’t help but think their older sister is silently checking in from time to time.
I can’t wait for the day we will all be reunited.
Until then, I’ll continue to drag them out to the cemetery, like we did today.
Three and a half years ago, I would have never imagined we could be this happy again.
We’re certainly blessed.
Loved the video! I catch myself saying the same thing around 100 times a day. My son Copeland and your boys are almost exactly the same age so it is fun to see the similarities and differences in the growth and milestones!! I think of your Preslee often now that summer and swimming is coming up. I've been checking I to the Infant Swimming Resource classes too because of your girl. Keep rocking on with those boys! I can barely keep up with one baby so you are seriously super woman!!
ReplyDeleteThat video is hilarious! I'm cracking up! You are so blessed with those three cuties and a sweetheart in heaven!
ReplyDeleteI'm a mommy of 3 boys (2 of which are very close in age) and my house is probably the loudest and messiest house I know of! lol. I just had to comment on the pic with your Pug in it. The look on his face is priceless. It's like - 'Dude, I'm pretty sure I'm about to get kicked in the head.' My dog gives me the most long-suffering sighs and looks all of the time every time all my boys are rolling around on the ground by her.
ReplyDeletePreslee is making sure you are kept real busy and your heart full. Don't you worry about cleaning, your house will be spotless in 18 years. :-) Boys are a blast!
ReplyDeleteWhat little studs! And the video made me laugh so hard. :)
ReplyDeleteAll lovely. Makes me so excited to meet my boys!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling post....I'm so happy that you are happy. The video is funny....busted!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I am laughing so hard at that video. I have three boys too, and they all three share a room as well. It's pretty crazy some days. I love your blog :)
ReplyDeletehahah i love the video! made my day
ReplyDeleteI have two little boys, 23 months apart, close to the same ages as your boys. I laughed out loud at that video. The older one is always doing something very similar to what Ledger did. Still laughing actually. You should send that in to America's Funniest Home Videos.
