First off, we hope you all had a wonderful Halloween, because we certainly did!
Since having the twins, Ledger has become very apprehensive to try new things, which made us wonder how he would react to Halloween. So…about a week before, we began prepping him for what was to come. With a lot of bribery, (thanks to cousin Sawyer Ledger now eats M&M’s) and telling him how awesome cats are, we were able to get him into his costume. Once it was on, he wouldn’t let us take it off!
This is what skipping a nap will do to you, because you’re too hyped up about Halloween. Sitting still to take a picture becomes torture!
This was right after Ledger’s diaper fell off inside his costume, and there was poop smeared in it… we were scrounging to get it washed and dried in time.
I made the twins’ costumes, and fell in love with their wigs. An old beanie, a blue boa, and a hot glue gun went further than I thought!
Highlights of the night include:
Trick or Treating at Grandma Siddoways, who hooked up the twins with colic calm (yay!) and M&M’s for Sledge.
Grandma Merritt went out of her way to give Sledgehammer pretzels packs with dipping cheese, two of his favorite things. The kid was in heaven!
Cannon and Grandma
Grandma Sullenger put together a fishing pond, a huge hit with all the kiddos!
Hard to believe how much can change in one year, we went from these three, to this bunch!
It was a busy night, but certainly a fun one.
I’ve decided dressing up three boys in the future is going to make for some fun themes!
Happy Halloween!
Your boys looked so cute! I loved the crying picture...so funny!
ReplyDeleteSo cute !!! Great job on the twins costumes :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing that pic with all the grandbabies is! I love, love, love the boys' wigs. VERY COOL idea! You mentioning Ledger's diaper falling off inside his costume brought back a memory of my now almost 17 year old son running through the store when he was Ledger's age and his diaper fell off and out of his shorts. Horrifying at the time but so funny now. So thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the costumes!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures made my day! SO CUTE, the twins look adorable and Ledger made a darling cat in the hat! Way to go cute mom!!
ReplyDeleteOk this is so adorable! Such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteYou get major points in my book not only for those awesome wigs but for attempting to dress up newborn twins and their big brother too! Awesome. :-)
ReplyDeletePoor Ledger. My heart aches just thinking of his sadness and your work, just to make him a happy cat again! I will be honest, I am so jealous you have three boys to dress. I loved being a Mom to three boys. I felt like we were earning our sports team, our Helamen's Warriors badge, our Mommy is the princess theme, etc. We didn't make it to a Halloween with the three, but believe me, the first Halloween that we were meant to have three, I remember step by step....literally. You had such a fun idea, and everyone looks so good!
ReplyDeleteloved the costumes.... fun time w/ family is always the best...
ReplyDeleteGreat costumes! Your children are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your life and your children with us!
ReplyDeleteI got all excited when I saw the twin costumes. I've always thought Thing 1 & 2 would be so cute for littles twins. And then to add the Cat in The Hat. Brilliant! All three of them look awesome!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the costumes!!! SO creative!!!
