True statement, I drastically missed washing Preslee’s clothes for an entire year after losing her.
Today I’m grateful for my washing machine and dryer. Heaven help me if I lived in the day I had to wash all our clothes by hand. Who knew twin boys would create so many piles laundry? I’m still trying to catch up!
It is strange the things we miss when we are missing a most precious loved one. I'm glad that you have your three sons. They were not sent here to replace your sweet Preslee but sent here to comfort you and help you heal....and I'm sure they have. Of course, you still miss your daughter and always will until she is in your arms again. But being a mom of those 3 darling boys and any that come later (I'm sure you are thinking as we speak of your next one, right? LOL) will bring you lots of happiness and joy. It will be a wild ride for a while but I'm sure you are counting each and every blessing they bring into your life. When my little grandson was born, he brought such happiness to me and still does. He and all my sister's grandchildren are definitely some of the Lord's tender mercies sent to our family after losing our brother-in-law, my husband, both parents, and my niece and nephew's beloved Makenzie. I'm thinking the laundry is a blessing and a curse....just remember, when it is all said and done (well, maybe the laundry will sometimes be undone), those boys will be in your arms and they will melt and warm your heart with their kisses, hugs, and smiles. Your cup will runneth over as I feel mine has!! ENJOY!!! :)
ReplyDeleteit's so true. i have four kids 6 years apart. the younger years were so crazy but now the oldest two are in college and i can't believe it but i love doing their laundry when they come home. there's something so nurturing about it...
ReplyDeleteI never ever thought about you missing laundry, but I can see how that would be so hard! It's amazing what blessings you don't even see when raising a child. Thanks for this little reminder!
ReplyDeleteIt's those little simple daily tasks we do and don't think about; until they aren't there anymore. Then they become big things. Things that remind you of someone or something. They can also be a reason to not go on, until something replaces it. Laundry, the simple pleasures that remind us, we are important and have a purpose. We are MoM to someone.
ReplyDeleteI used this same exact printable too!
ReplyDeleteI put it in my living room and read it every day! :)
It's amazing that you have both views of the spectrum
and truly understand the meaning behind it.
Just know you'll probably never catch up, just be okay with it and let it go ;)
ReplyDeleteI've always loved washing my boys clothes. It's always been special to me. I love folding them and have enjoyed having more and more as each boy has joined our family. Simple blessings.
ReplyDeleteI love this! When I had my twin girls, I wished someone would've warned me about the mountains of laundry! (My oldest was 2 1/2 years when we had the twins). I love it though! It means we have loved ones to take care of! <3 You look great! Congrats again on your beautiful family!
