Pat likes to stay in the background when it comes to the blog, he says it’s just not his thing, and that’s okay. Even though I secretly wish he’d write a few posts every now and then, but I understand. Sometimes I feel like the true husband and father I’m privileged to see each and every day is rarely portrayed to the rest of the world.
We recently learned someone did some pretty horrible things with our family name and pictures on the internet. While searching for the pictures that were stolen and used, I reread this post and felt it gives you a glimpse of who Pat really is. It’s a post that demonstrates his strength and love for his family, and something I’ll treasure forever.

Happy Father’s Day to the many wonderful men in the world.
I can't believe people have the nerve to do such horrible things. I hope you figure things out with it.
ReplyDeletePeople can be so mean. I've followed your blog for a few years and you continue to inspire me-happy Father's Day to pat!
ReplyDeletesome people seriously suck. Do you resize your photos? in photoshop you can "save for the web" and it makes resolution sizes very small but your photos look normal on your page. though people can still "steal" them they are only like half an inch on their computer and if they try and enlarge them they become a blur or pixels and completely unusable. I do this for my Etsy shop after someone was using photos for their own shop (rude)
ReplyDeletethat beaks my hear there is such people like that out there! how do they have the time??? we have seen such a loving side husband and father from Pat over the years!! Love yall!!
ReplyDeleteWhat on earth happened? Is everything okay? Did someone try to scam you? Hope you're okay.
ReplyDeleteI hate to hear how horrible some people can be. I've been following since Preslee's accident and you are an amazing mama to Preslee & Ledger. Stay strong. Best to all of you.
ReplyDeleteThis post brings tears to my eyes! You are an incredible family!
ReplyDeleteYes, please share what happened. Blogging is becoming scary!
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious through your blog what a wonderful daddy Pat is to your kids. You two are an amazing couple with a wonderful family. So inspiring!
Pat's post about his "little Angel" is so precious. I don't think he has to post for us blogger friends to know what an amazing person he is. The pictures you post of him always seem to show him with a big smile on his face. I can also see how supportive and loving he is with his family. I can only imagine how much little Ledger and these new babies mean to him. Little Preslee is still her daddy's girl and will be forever. The missing must be so hard but I know our loving Heavenly Father is mindful of your family and brings your family comfort and peace about Preslee every day. Sorry your pictures got hacked. My debit card was used by criminals over the weekend. I was glad my bank's fraud unit was on the ball and shut down the card and my account before it got out of hand. I hope you and Pat had a wonderful father's day. Enjoy these next couple of months before the FUN begins. Take care and get a lot of rest and relaxation (well, as much as a mother of an active 2-year-old can get while pregnant with twin boys!!). :)
ReplyDeletePreslee is so lucky to have Pat as a dad. I've read the story and it is really inspiring.

People are disgusting at times, I'm so sorry someone did this to you.
ReplyDeleteA picture is worth a thousand words and the loving daddy and partner that your husband is always comes through:)
You should disable the "right click" option on your blog.... so no one can copy anything. I don't know how to do it....I don't have a blog. But, I know that CJane posted a few years ago how to do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I didn't know I could do this, I'll definitely be looking into it.
DeleteThanks for the tip! I really appreciate it! It was super easy, hopefully that will make it more difficult for anyone to use the pics in the future!
DeleteYEA!!! I'm glad you figured it out Ashley. =}

I'm sorry people are being mean. Sometimes I sit back and think "how can people be so callous?" Why does the anonymity that the internet gives people make them feel like they can get away with being horrible to others? It's so sad. I hope you know, that out there, there are far more people that love and support you than the ones that take time out of their day to be mean for no reason. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, Pat and I have discussed this, and realized a lot more good has come from this blog than bad. We've been blessed with an incredible amount of support.
DeleteI'm so sorry someone has done something horrible with your pictures and name. It makes me sick to hear people doing such things to great people. That was a beautiful post by Pat! You are an amazing family, even through tragedy you find the light and happiness. Prayers and love to you all!
ReplyDeleteSeeing those pics of Pres brought back painful memories and it was hard to read...my heart aches for you tonight...
ReplyDeleteWe already know how amazing Patrick is and I couldn't ask for a better brother-in-law! He is a GREAT daddy and GREAT uncle! My kids just adore him
So sorry bad stuff happened. People are crazy! How did you disable the right click thing?? Also, Zach is SO the same as Pat with the blog. He totally doesn't get the purpose of the whole blogging thing but he sees how it has helped me through my grief so he is fine with it. ;) MEN!! ;)
