Happy Valentines Day. I truly love February 14th. This year it’s Pat’s turn to plan the festivities for today. I reminded him he has big shoes to fill after my awesome date last year. (Looking at how much Ledger has grown in a year made me a little sad)
Last night Pat asked me what I wanted him to cook for dinner tonight, I replied bring something home from Costa Vida! (I hate the smell of cooked meat lingering in the house) He looked at me for a second and then kindly said, “Do you realize all we’ve eaten lately is Mexcian and cereal?” Hmmm… He’s right, if I cook, that’s all I’ve really wanted. I certainly have a patient husband. I told him he could choose what we ate, but I’m secretly hoping he’ll still make a stop at Costa Vida after work…
Do you have any fun traditions for Valentines Day?
We switch it up each year.
Ledger seemed to enjoy his heart shaped breakfast a little more than usual.
Happy Valentines Day!

I am really excited this year for today. We decided to do things a little different this year. We have a 21 month old and a 3 year old and we decided to spend the day with them. We got them a pass for today to the trampoline park and then we will go to dinner at a very kid friendly place. It is far too hard to try and fight the crowds for a much needed dinner date for the hubby and I on V-day. We decided to celebrate our LOVE next week when the crowds have died down just a bit and it is not so terribly hard to find a sitter. I am so excited to spend the day with my three boys. I wish that I would have made some heart pancakes, but we have had pancakes the last two days prior and I was a wee bit burned out. :) Your heart waffle was so cute!
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteMy friend who lives in rigby told me about your story because my sister lost her son last summer. My sister has been struggling extremely bad and I was just curious if she could get in touch with you. None of us around her can really relate and I know she's been wanting someone to talk to that understands. If I give you my email is there any way you would have a minute to give me your email address and allow my sister to contact you?! I'm not sure what else to do to help her right now so I thought maybe this would help. Thank you so much. Your story is incredible and I wish you and your sweet family all the best.
