I can't tell you how many times I've driven past this place. (On a daily basis while attending BYU-I) I always wondered why people would pay to drive around a park to see what I "thought" I could see from the road...
For all of you around the world, Yellowstone Bear World is different than Yellowstone National Park. They are a couple hours away from each other.
Anyway, my sil Alisha came up with her 3 kids while my brother works long hours as an accountant. And Grandma (my mom) offered to take the kids to Bear World.
Once we got there, we all climbed into one car, along with my Aunt Cindy, and Dallin.

Holy cuteness!
We drove through the park, and the kids LOVED the animals. Ledger pointed to every moving thing he saw.
Next stop, the petting zoo.
Ledger went absolutely nuts, chasing chickens and kissing goats.
Check out that pig with a nose ring.
After we tormented the animals enough, we moved on over to the rides. The kids loved the rides just as much as the animals, and Ledger cried each time we came to a stop.
Best aunt award definitely goes to me :)

My favorite part was climbing onto a big truck and taking a tour. They let us feed the bears, and taught us interesting things about all the animals, including their names. We got a kick out of the bears clapping for food.
Catching a piece of bread.

I'm already looking forward to our next trip, making sure Pat will be able to come along.
I honestly couldn't believe how much fun it was.
Thanks Grandma Yodi!
And trust me, you can't see it all from the road :)

That does sound super fun! Do you pay for it all and get everything in the park? Btw if you guys take family pictures anytime soon you should wear that outfit! You look gorgeous! And of course little ledger is a stud
ReplyDeleteAsh you're gorgeous! Love, love your outfit! Glad you had fun at Bear World!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I went to Bear World many times. It is a very fun place and I'm glad you were able to go with Ledger and your other family. Last time I was there, I got to feed one of the baby bear cubs with a bottle. Such fun even for an adult!! This time of the year is perfect because it is much cooler temperatures and the animals are a bit more active. I know how it is with little boys...my grandson cries when he has to leave the choo-choo at the mall, McDonald's, the park, or just having to come in the house from playing outside. He is so headstrong but it's kinda cute that they love those things and hate to have their fun end. You ARE the best Aunt, well....except for me!! Ha Ha
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! And your outfit is sooooo cute!! I love it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun fun place for the kiddos! Small world... your sister-in-law and I were in the Institute chorale together at WSU. It's fun to see her face on your blog every now and then. You are all such beautiful, wonderful people! Thanks for setting great examples for everyone around you. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks so fun!! You are gorgeous and of course Ledger is a handsome little man! What camera do you use and photo editing program? I love your pics!!
ReplyDeleteTracy,
DeleteSo for this post we were using my sil's camera. Not sure what the model is, but it's a cannon. And I'm saving up for photoshop, right now I'm just using PicMonkey online.
Cool pictures! Looks like you guys had a blast!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Bear World is a lot cooler than I expected. I still think it's a little overpriced, though. But we had a blast! I LOVE your outfit. I have been looking for pants like those. Would you tell me where you got them? :)
ReplyDeleteSo I got them from the Jean Girl, here in Rexburg. Not sure if you are local or not, but if so, you can just look her up on facebook.
DeleteYou look absolutely gorgeous in all your pics.
ReplyDeleteGlad I was able to catch up on your blog today. You of course made me smile and cry a little.
Thinking of you always...

ReplyDeleteTracy,
ReplyDeleteThese pics were taken from my SIL's camera. I'll have to check! She's a photographer, so it's super nice.
