Six Months Already?

Dear Ledger,
I know I keep saying this, but time is flying by too fast. On the 14th, you'll be six months. I loveeee being able to stay home with you each day. I love our daily routine. I love it all. Today was a rare day, you were extra cuddly. I let you stay up past your nap time, just to enjoy you.

It's interesting what I truly enjoy with you after missing your older sister so much. I love pushing you in the shopping cart while shopping, I talk to you the entire time. I love how much harder it is to carry a baby around everywhere. The other day I found myself struggling to walk with you in your carrier, a diaper bag, and a box of diapers to exchange in the store. I'm sure I was a sight to see when I stepped in a huge puddle. I was soaked, but I just stood there and laughed; because I remembered how empty my arms felt last winter. I still love having you in the backseat while driving. I guess I just love to have a constant companion with me wherever I go. We love you sledge hammer. Never forget it. Here is everything I want to remember about you right now.

You are in 9 mo clothing, still wearing just a few things in six.

Lately, you've been scared of males. You won't make eye contact.

You have 2 teeth. The drooling has started back up, so I'm guessing more are on the way.

 
You struggle eating peas, but can down a whole jar of sweet potatoes with ease. You're going through a can of formula in less than a week! So I'm trying to push down as much of the solids as I can. You want to eat 8 oz about every 2-2 1/2 hours.

I love the way you squeal, jabber, and slobber all over me. You love to play with your dad.
You still sleep from 8 to 8. When we go to get you from your crib, we now find you in all different types of positions. We no longer swaddle you. It only took you 3 nights to figure out how to sleep with your new found freedom. You love to sleep with the elephant Grandma gave you. 
You still live in your jumperoo, and now when we hold you all you want to do is jump in our arms. You will rarely sit, always wanting to stand.
And since you rarely ever sit, I wasn't expecting you to do this quite this early, but bring it on! You're able to hold it for about a minute and seem mighty proud of yourself :)

 
You love to stare at the big picture of your older sister on the wall. You get so excited each time you see it and smile and jabber constantly to it. I've also started showing you the little book we made about Preslee from Heritage Makers. You grin and squeal the entire time. I really do believe there is a connection there.

You still don't seem to want to close your little mouth... We've decided that is why you never took a binky. You were too lazy to shut your mouth to keep it in. You loved it if we held it in your mouth for you. We definitely love you and all of your quirks.
