Who would have dreamed five years would pass so quickly? Pat kept asking me why in the world I would want to run for class president. My response, "I wasn't thinking five years ago."
Last weekend, the four of us got together to finally throw our 5 year class reunion. (When I say finally, I mean a lot of stress finally disappeared) That's right, Kaylie Sue, Sidd, Andy, and Kimbo reunited and we put hours worth of work in to make the reunion a success. After about a million hours spent on Facebook tracking down classmates and sending too many messages, cancelling the caterer, and fearing we would end up owing more $$ then we could afford, I felt the reunion turned out pretty darn good. Thank goodness we did end up breaking even with money. Pat was a gem while he let his stressed out wife run around like a crazy person that night, he was always there to help. It was fun to see everyone, and even more fun to see how so many people have changed for the better. I had been nervous, hoping Preslee wouldn't be the only topic of conversation for Pat and I, but everyone who said anything was so very sweet about it. As fun as it was, it is nice to have it behind us. It is even nicer that we were able to hand the 10 year reunion over to someone else... thanks again Janae :)
With Fall quickly approaching, before I know it I will no longer have anymore obligations. The Sno Shack will close at the end of this month, and for the first time since I was 5 years old, I will not be going to school this fall. I'm going to be able to sit back and watch my lil' man grow.
I am so excited for you that you get to stay home with your baby! It is quite an adjustment but I'm sure you will manage. Staying home with my kids is the BEST decision I have ever made. Cherish every single minute of it!
