I couldn't help but share this blog.
I know Pat and I are where we are today because of the thousands of prayers offered in our behalf. And everytime I receive an e-mail or comment stating we are still in your prayers, I tear up. I have such a strong testimony of prayer. I now understand one of the most powerful ways to help someone in need is through prayer.
I feel this sweet family needs prayers. http://www.dennyandwendy.blogspot.com/
This sweet man from Utah just lost his wife and child. He now has 3 young children to raise. They seem to be an incredible family.

Ashley, I was led to your blog by the comment you left on the Mack family blog. I want to first tell you how sorry I am for the loss of your beautiful girl. Wendy is my "twin" cousin and the loss of her and her sweet Maylee has left a gaping hole in so many hearts. She was a remarkable woman, sister, daughter, friend, etc. Thank you so much for your kind words as you know all too well the life altering pain and anguish that they are experiencing.
ReplyDeleteAll my best in UT,
Erin
I read that and honestly cried the whole time. You two families are amazing, I don't think I could take all that.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing the link! I read Denny's story & am also so heart broken for his family! They will definitely be in our prayers in addition to your sweet family! I will keep tabs on his blog, but if you see something sooner or think of anything we (as complete strangers!) could do for his family, please let us know!
ReplyDeleteI too just found this blog...Such a heart breaking story, I cried the whole time. You are amazing Sid, and I see how you have grown...I too still pray for your family, and will pray for the Mack family now as well. Your prego pics are so cute. Can't wait to meet this little guy :)
ReplyDeleteAshley, THANK YOU for sharing this story. My husband served with her for a few months while he awaited his visa to Portugal. So, he has a special place in his heart for this family. You are amazing and I continue to look up to you. Prayers and thoughts of you and your family daily.
ReplyDeleteLove YOU!
we love you pat and ashley and think of you all the time. I check your blog every day probably because you always have something that inspires me to want to be better! I keep you in my thoughts and prayers and would do anything for you! thanks for sharing this link! You are amazing in every way. Katie
ReplyDeleteSuch an incredibly sad story. Thank you for sharing it they do seem to be so full of faith and awesome testimonies. I'm so sad for them.
ReplyDeletethat breaks my heart
ReplyDeleteI heard about the Macks via Facebook from a friend I grew up with. I read Denny's most recent entry out loud to my husband and he stood there dumbfounded by how quickly life can turn on a dime.
ReplyDeleteYour story, the Macks, and many many others I have come across have literally changed me. I'm a little kinder to my kids. I hug my husband a little longer. I see life differently and have a more eternal perspective than I did before.
Thanks again for your strength and amazing example of carrying on faithfully thru such a devasting loss.
Good luck with the last 8 weeks!!

Ashley I actually heard this story on Tuesday from one of my teachers at Steven Henagers, he is a really close friend tp the Mack family. I have followed your blog for sometime now and when I saw this I thought I should read and see if there is something I can do to help. Thank you for sharing the link. And thank you for always inspiring me and I am sure many others out there to try and love more and try harder everyday!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking a lot about Preslee today... I've been missing her a lot and remembering the little things. Small things trigger such huge memories. So, needless to say, I have been a bit emotional tonight...then I visited your blog. I can't stop crying... My heart aches for you, for the Macks, and any others that have gone or are going through such a difficult thing. I will definitely keep you and this family you have directed us to in my prayers. I love you Ash and Patrick... Love Linsy, Jamie, and Ivy
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad story! I just heard of their story a few days ago. We are praying for them!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing their link. How tragic. When I stumbled across your blog last year during July, your blog and your sweet family has changed my life and the way I view each and every precious day I spend with my husband and three little girls. The Mack Family has just re-confirmed how precious each day really is. I hope that even though we are strangers that you all know that we REALLY do think of your family DAILY and you all are still in our prayers as well as the Mack family now. You and your husband and precious Preslee are CHANGING lives!!! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. :) I couldn't be more thrilled for you and your family on your new little addition soon. Not long now. Take care.

I have been following your blog for sometime now and I have to say you guys are amazing. After reading the story of your beautiful family and now the Mack family, I am like the others that have commented. I view life so differently and know that it is the most precious thing anyone can ask for and can change so quickly. You guys are truely an inspiration to so many people.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you today, wanted to wish you a Happy Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog since Preslee's accident. You continually inspire me to be a better mother to my children and to never take them for granted (even during the challenging days). So I could not let today pass without wishing you a Happy Mother's Day. You have done the hardest thing a mother can do and you are still standing. I hope you feel some measure of peace today in the face of all that has been placed on you. Thank you for all that you are.
ReplyDeleteBeing Mother's Day today, I was thinking of you...and even though it would be a little random and weird for a stranger to come up and hug you, consider yourself hugged today. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteTrials in life can be so difficult sometimes but there is opposition in all things. When things seem to be the hardest someone with amazing strength comes along to help. My heart was full of compassion for the Mack family when I read their story and full of appreciation for people like you. The story of your family reached millions and your voice is heard by so many; what a blessing it is for the Mack family that you have used your voice to bring people together again in prayer, in thought, and in service. The power of prayer is so strong and the pleas on behalf of the Mack family as well as for your family will be heard and blessings will be poured out. I hope that you will have a peaceful day and that the memories of Preslee will bring joy to your heart!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog & just want to tell you just how much I admire you. I am a mother of 2 & I don't know how you do it...a mother's worse fear is that they will lose there child. You are always in my thoughts & prayers. You are AMAZING!!! Just know that so many are thinking of & Praying for you & your family. It's comforting to know that "we" know families can be together Forever. *Much Love
ReplyDeleteAshley I don't know you but you are truly amazing. The grace at which you have dealt with such horrific things is inspiring to me. It makes me want to be a better Mommy to my 4 kids. You truly are a blessing in so many peoples lives. I know sometimes its probably hard to write the things you feel but they really do inspire so many people.
ReplyDeleteMy parents served a mission with Denny Mack many years ago and have kept in touch with him over the years. My Mom and Sister both worked for him in his chiropractic office. They are truly an amazing family.
Praying for you!

I am always amazed at this incredible network we have here on this world. The lives that connect to others in ways we never knew are a strength to me and a constant reminder that He knows each of us individually and what we need to make it through such trying times. I have read through some of your postings on here. I thank you for your thoughtfulness of me as well. There have been many faith growing experiences during this time that I just have to focus on during the harder moments when the sun is not shining so bright, and it is people like you that help to remind me that we are all here together. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers, I think you know how much those things mean.

Ashley I don't know if you will see this comment on an old post, but I was reading some of your older posts and found this one...how ironic and what timing! My beautiful sister in-law and Denny Mack were married in the Draper temple TODAY! They make such a beautiful couple and a beautiful family (they have 5 kids between the two of them). It was a beautiful day.
