Thirty weeks sounds so much closer than anything with a 2 in front of it! I'm starting to feel really big. I pop straight out so I look huge, but when they measure me I'm always average. Looking back at pictures I'm not much bigger than my first pregnancy.
I'm beginning to hear comments like, "Oh wow, you must be counting days now, when are you due?" Pat gets a kick out of the shocked look on their face when I say I'm still counting months. (I now just say I'm due in June, rather than telling them the very end of June)
I'm carrying him a little lower than I carried Preslee. My hip bones are taking a beating rather than my ribs. So I can't complain. :)
He kicks less than Preslee did, but much harder.
This is the first week my favorite skinny jeans won't button up all the way. So I dug out my belly band.
I've passed 5 kidney stones. Hopefully with very few left to come. (I'm not getting my hopes up)
My cravings for tomato based foods have lessened, and now I can't seem to get enough ice cream. After fearing I'll gain too much weight (DQ's mini blizzards are the perfect size...and the only thing in our little town) I realized I'm craving the texture rather than the actual ice cream. So I've switched over to healthy smoothies.
Overall, we've been so very blessed and are counting down the days until he arrives.

Gosh you still have skinny legs and a little butt girl! Thats great! When pregnancy hits 30 anything, it sounds close to me.... you're about there!! I have Jambas "carribean passion" recipe if you want it. I have connections :)
ReplyDeleteI'm 25 weeks pregnant and can't get enough ice cream either! You should share your smoothie recipes!!
ReplyDeleteI've read your blog since Preslee's accident but have never left a comment. I have often wanted to but always chicken out because you don't know me. I just wanted to let you know how amazing I think you are! I can't tell you how many times I woud go to lay my baby in her crib and I would think of you and tears would start to fall and I would sit back down and rock her for a little bit longer...knowing that you would give anything to be able to rock Preslee again. Thank you for helping me realize how precious life is and to enjoy every second of it that I can. I'm sorry to hear about your kidney stones. I passed 13 with my last pregnancy and had surgery where they placed a stent...I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Anyway, just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for the impact that you have made on my life! I feel that you have made me a better mother! Thanks for being you! Your baby boy is very lucky to be coming to such wonderful parents!!

Ashley, You look absolutely fabulous for thirty weeks! Still in normal jeans without a band!? A-mazing!! He will be here before you know it!!
ReplyDeleteDrink a whole bottle of Coke for your kidney stones {within an hour} --it's suppose to break them down and pass much easier. {My dad had one and I told him about it. He didn't believe me-but tried it anyways. ...and it worked! He passed it without pain}.
ReplyDeleteYou look ADORABLE!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewow honey I look like that the morning after I conceive, you look FABULOUS!!!!! Hang in there sweetie, much luv being sent your way!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy is that EVERYONE ELSES pregnancies seem to go SO much faster than our own! I think you look great by the way!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I don't want to hear about how you are just now not fitting your skinny jeans? At least I put off maternity clothes till 17 weeks this go around :) But I do have to say, I wouldn't want kidney stones - so I guess we all have different issues to deal with while pregnant! You look FANTASTIC and I'm so excited for my little nephew to get here - him and our baby girl will be best buds :)
ReplyDeleteAshley I think you look just great! When I was pregnant people thought I was having twins! NOPE just one huge baby!! You are darling! We don't know each other ( pretty sure i have told you that before) but I appreciate your sweet comment on my dear friends Zach and Tessie's blog.
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful and I'm so excited for you. I can't wait to see what he looks like.
ReplyDeleteSo excited for your June delivery.
ReplyDeleteWahoo! Getting ever so closer! I am excited! Have you guys decided what you are going to name him yet? Or did I miss that post?
ReplyDeleteHave a GREAT week! Love ya!
You are seriously too cute! I wish I looked that good :) I am only 27 weeks and totally look like I am due any day. I had to give up my fav pair of jeans weeks ago! I too am suffering the Kidney stones. Not fun. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou probably already thought of a name, but I though it would be nice if the baby's name started with P, had 2 middle names, one R and one E, and your last name is S. His initials would be P.R.E.S. for Preslee.
