I was recently contacted by Time Out For Women and asked if I would be willing to publish one of my blog posts on their website.
I first came across their site when I found Michelle Newman's post Make Everyday a Payday. Since then, I've browsed around and have read many of their featured bloggers.
Anyway, I decided to go for it. I sent them a few pictures and before I knew it, I received an e-mail and told it was posted today.
Go ahead and check it out here.

ReplyDeleteWow! I never leave your blog not feeling the spirit.. but that was overwhelming. Thank you for not holding back. You really make a difference in my life.
ReplyDeleteI honestly can't read your blog without feeling the spirit and bawling my eyes out which is a hard thing to get me to do! I just love you and your family! Great post!
ReplyDeleteAshley, I don't know what I can say that someone hasn't already said, but what i'm saying is from the heart: your blog posts and shared thoughts prepare me for the trials that I am going to have. If you hadn't gone through this, (and I really wish you hadn't) who would I hear all of this from? Thank you so much. I will always always remember your posts for the rest of my life!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! Someday they are going to ask you to come speak at TMOW. I am sure of it!
ReplyDeleteAshley, you are a strong, beautiful woman. Don't ever let the adversary tell you otherwise. Don't ever let him convince you that this trial is bigger than you. You are such an optimistic woman with the power of the spirit that blesses and heals others as they watch you go through your trial. . .The most gut wrenching trial anyone is called to go through. I love your blog. I love you, even though I don't know you. I would like to know you, I think we would have a lot in common:) Happy and Sad. If there is anything I can do, ANYTHING, please let me know. Even if you want someone to just cry to who understands, I would love to be that person for you. Kisses.

I wish you were speaking at TOFW. You have a powerful and life-changing story that would change lives. If they ever ask you, say yes. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulation Ashley! To you and Your Family! Your ideas are so eloquently stated. Everything you write, we know it is truly from your heart. That is why so many people check your blog everyday to see what else they can learn from such a great teacher of life. One thing I would like to remind you, Never dismiss a kind word. Take it with with a happy heart and enjoy the words forever.
ReplyDeleteThanks as always for sharing your story with us.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, you deserve it!

I am on your blog for the first time from the TOFW site. Thank you for sharing with us. I love how honest you are and how you follow the promptings of the spirit as you write. I am so grateful that you have the knowledge and testimony of the gospel to help you through this experience. What a blessing! You are a blessing to others as well. I look forward to future posts from you. :-)

I find so much strength and courage from reading your blog, I hold my head higher through the trials I face and I find myself holding my children a little tighter at times...I'am so sorry for your heart ache and sorrow and I wanted you to know that even though I don't know you, have never met you and only knew of you from your blog, you have changed my life in so many ways, I will forever shed a few tears for you and your sweet family on Preslee's b-day for it is the day before mine and therefore I will never forget. Your Angel Preslee has sure impacted and changed so many lives in her short, sweet life and I thank you for sharing your story, your sorrow, your happy times and your sweet Ledger with all of us bloggers.... Much love, Tiffany Robinson

I have a friend on FB that lost her little boy. Her friend left a link to your blog, hoping that it might help her to read it. I clicked on it, and I am so glad that I did. Even though it has been over a year since sweet Preslee left this world, she is continuing to touch the lives of others. As are you by sharing her story, your experiences, and testimony. I love reading about your family. You have such a beautiful way with words and a spirit that permeates off the page as you read. You can tell that your little girl was and is such a special little spirit and has touched the lives of so many. As I have been reading through your blog, that I can feel the spirit through your words, and your strong example. How amazing that your little girl has made such an impact on the world, and by sharing her story, helping to change so many lives. I can only imagine the type of people you are your husband must be, for Heavenly Father sending such an amazing spirit to be in your home, to love and care for. He knew that she needed you, and in return, you needed her. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, emotions, and love. So someone like me could hear what I needed to. I am so thankful that you chose to listen, I can't wait to get to know you more, and watch your little family grow. What a great inspiration you are to me, and many others.
ReplyDeleteI read you blog today-after recieving the link from a friend of mind. I am going through a different trial-found out my husband is a sex addict and has lived a double life for the our 14 year marriage. The things I read in your blog are the same things I feel-and have learned about God- and about becoming more like Him. He's always there and nothing is a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley. I just got your comment on my blog about losing my son Noah and now my husband four months later. Thanks for taking the time to send me a comment. It's hard to believe it's real. I actually just recently attended TOFW and they also asked me to do a blog post on their website (before Noah or Aaron passed away) and now I keep thinking about the message that Laurel Christiansen said about this still being my 'Plan A' in life. I'm hating my plan A right now, but I hope in time I can look back and see that it's all how it's meant to be.
