We've marked our calendar

I made a visit to the doctor today and they told me baby Sullenger # 2 should arrive by June 30, 2011! That's right, we're excited and feel very blessed. We're grateful that we'll have a baby in our arms before the year mark.

Pat's holding out for a boy, and after my sis-in-law showed us this calendar, Pat's been even more excited. According to the Chinese Calendar it should be a boy... haha Pres was right according to this chart, was it right for your kids?


I've been pretty sick, grieving and crazy pregnancy hormones together haven't been easy, but thank goodness for Patrick, who has been very patient with eating Spaghetti every single night. :)

    Congrats! After we lost our little girl, we got pregnant about 8 weeks later. An absolute miracle! I am sure Preslee is smiling right now!!!

    Congrats...I check on you now and then. We have lots in common...My husband and I have been married three years...our first babies are now in heaven and now we are pregnant!! I am about 31 weeks. Take everything a day at a time and let it all happen the good the hard and the crazy! The Calendar was right for me too! :)

    Oh yay!!!! I am so excited for you!! Mine said girl and I got a boy! My sisters said girl and she is having a boy so I am not a believer in them but you never know. After all, it has a 50/50 chance of being right. :) Can't wait to hear about the rest of your pregnancy! What a blessing.

    Congratulations Ashley -I'm so happy for you guys! Calendar was right for our first 2, we'll find out in December if we are having a boy like it predicts. :) Good luck with that sickness, you can get a prescription from your doc for Zofran and Phenogren for the nausea - they've been a lifesaver for me the past 2 months!

    Hope the first trimester sickness goes away soon for ya! Chinese calender was wrong for us.. When is the date to find out the sex? That's like the longest part of pregnancy!.. kinda.. Still need to plan a game night with everyone! Enjoy your week off!

    Congrats! It was wrong with 2 of our 3 kids. What a great blessing in your life. I bet Preslie is taking care of your little one and letting he/she know what wonderful parents you are. Did you see the Oprah show not too long ago about a couple in CA that lost all 3 of their children in a horrible accident? Almost a year later they had triplets (2 girls and a boy), which they lost 2 girls and a boy. What miricles they were in helping them grieve and be able to love again. Children are a wonderful blessing and remind us of the miralce of life.

Almost a year later they had triplets (2 girls and a boy), which they lost 2 girls and a boy. What miricles they were in helping them grieve and be able to love again. Children are a wonderful blessing and remind us of the miralce of life.

    You don't know me, but I came across your blog last week. I went back to one or two entries before the accident with your dear angel Preslee. I, too am a Latter-Day Saint and my testimony has grown tremendously by reading your blog. I read your entry about 'I can do hard things' and it really moved me. I am a single-mother and life has been difficult for the past 4 years. A very large storm blew through here (Northern Utah) last night and I had to shovel my driveway. I know that shoveling isn't very hard for most people, but I dread it. I was just shoveling away, feeling angry that I had to do this, that I was a single-parent (not by choice) when the words from your blog poppeed in my head. I took great comfort in them and know that I have nothing to complain about. My life is good. My son and I are members of the Church, healthy, and stable. We are truly blessed, thank you for sharing, it can't be easy, but your words mean more to me and many others than you can possibly know. Congratulations on your bun in the oven. :) I'm so happy for you! The Chinese Calendar was right in regards to my son. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

    Oh my gosh! CONGRATULATIONS! How exciting for you guys! Isn't it so fun to think that Preslee is up there telling new baby Sullenger how wonderful his (or her) parents are!?     This news made my weekend. I know this baby will not replace your daughter...but just think, right now they ARE together in Heaven and when this new baby comes into your arms he/she will literally be bringing physical hugs from Preslee. And thats getting pretty close to Preslee too. May God bless you in your grief and joy. The two together can sometimes be confusing. My Children were all adopted. Seeing the pain of the Birthmothers faces at placement mixed with my extreme joy often took time to work through. Be patient with yourself!!

    There was nothing more healing for me and my husband after our first baby passed away than when we had our second. He was born a week after the first anniversary of her death. Though there was pain and heartache in reaching that year-mark, the joy we felt from holding our new child in our arms, fresh from the presence of our daughter and Father in Heaven, was incredible. I know this will be a great blessing for your family. I am so, so happy for you.

    Congratulations!!! I totally agree that having a new little one helps with the sadness in your heart from losing a child. I had 2 children, one 15 and one 12 when my 15 year old died from complications of his kidney disease. Everyone told me that we should have another baby, or adopt. I told them they were all crazy! Heavenly Father took things into his own hands, and 4 months later I was pregnant. Our caboose was born exactly one year, one month, and one day after our son passed away. There was 12 years between our two daughters, but it has been such a wonderful time in our lives. May Heavenly Father continue to bless you and your family for all the good that you do through your blog. Preslee will send you one of the most precious, perfect spirits she can find!
