Hi all, Ashley and Patrick are so overwhelmed by your thoughts, prayers and comments. They are strong but still need your strength added to theirs. A new doctor took over this morning and asked Ashley is she wanted to hold little Preslee (which was kind of a dumb question because of course she does). He told her that he would do everything he could to get that to happen today, so they started taking her off some of the wires and dropping her medications. They took her off the blood pressure medicine and she stayed stable. That is a really good sign. They were able to determine that there were no seizures going on so they can take the electrodes that was monitoring her brainwaves off her head so she won't have the bandage on her head anymore. They have been treating her as though she has a neck injury until they could clear her with x-rays and they are in the process of doing that right now. I talked to Ashley while they were waiting and they are very anxious to hold her and snuggle her and love her. There is nothing sweeter than holding your little baby in your arms. Please continue to pray for this young family. Preslee is a fighter. We believe in miracles.
Love, Aunt Nic

Hi Patrick and Ashley. We have never met but your Aunt Cindy is one of my best friends from high school and my husband is the farmer that pulled Preslee out of the canal. We are praying for Preslee and our thoughts are always with her and you. We pray that she will continue to improve and you will be able to hold your little sweetheart in your arms soon. We feel as though little Preslee will be a part of our lives forever after what has happened. My husband, Jeff Call has shed many tears for your little angel. He will always be grateful he was in the canal that night, his heart if full and he is always thinking of Preslee and praying for her as we all are. We are grateful Nichole is keeping your blog updated and Cindy also lets me know how things are going. You are all in our prayers!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to share with the family a "miracle" you may not be aware of yet. My brother-in-law a police officer was first on the scene and able to take over CPR until the paramedics got there. Both he and my sister have talked for a long time about naming their next baby Preslee if they were to have another girl. I don't think this is mere coincidence that they felt the name Preslee would an important name for them in their life. My brother-in-law has been VERY affected by Preslee and we continue to watch the updates and pray for her. As a mom it brings tears to my eyes evertime I think of all mom, dad, grandparents, and sweet baby Preslee have been through. Keep fighting baby girl!
ReplyDeleteWay to be strong Preslee. Thank you for the updates. I am so grateful for the power of priesthood and the miracles that take place because of faith. Your family is always in our thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh Ashley and Pat, it's amazing reading all of these posts. SO many people love Preslee and are impressed with the both of you! There are people that don't even know you who are praying for little Pres.. How amazing! We are so anxious every second of the day to hear how things are going! We absolutely love you! Pat, when I called Trevor Friday night and told him what had happened, he said he wished so badly he was there to give you a hug. Like I said, we love you guys and sweet little Preslee. We're here for you and praying constantly.
ReplyDeleteyay!!! what an exciting day!! That is GREAT news. You guys are awesome..we are still praying for you. Good luck!

What a strong girl! I think just feeling her mommy hold her will make her stronger!
ReplyDeleteIt's odd to be on the other side of the computer reading all the updates and looking multiple times a day if the blog has been updated. What a blessing it is you can hold Preslee in your arms today, Yay for good nurses! I'm sure Preslee is just as excited for her mommy and daddy to hold her as you both are to get her in your arms. Keep fighting Pres, may Lord will bless you to surprise every doctor there at Primary Children's just how tough you are.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for your little girl and hope she can pull through this! It sounds like she is a fighter.....
ReplyDeleteWe do not know each other directly, but i know the family members and Pat from growing up. I want you to know how influencing an experience can be on all those ears who hear. I know that like many others, I cannot understand the pain that you feel, but we can all be absolutely sure to be affected by it- to hold our children closer and thank the Lord more often for the pleasure of raising His beautiful spirits. I hope we can all be moved by this experince to cherish our little ones every single day. I am praying hard for you and your little angel.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad we have this blog to go to to keep getting updates! We love you all and are so thankful for these blessings that keep coming! Keep staying strong you are being such great examples! Love all three of you!!
ReplyDeleteWe're praying that you get your miracle!

you don't know me, but I also found your blog through the Idea Room. This afternoon, after reading about Preslee, I prayed to God for his healing. He is the ultimate healer!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog via a link from another (The Idea Room) that was requesting prayer for your family.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to stop by and offer up my prayer and support. I am so sorry to hear about your little girl, but hopeful to hear of the series of miracles that are being bestowed on her. The fact that a farmer knew infant CPR, and he just happened to be the one to pull her from the canal, says that God's hand has been in this from the minute the tradgedy happened. And to have no visible scratches on her body after traveling that far in the water makes me believe that angels carried her directly to that farmer.
I have faith the God will restore your little one to full health.
I'm praying that angels sit camp about her until she recovers.
Blessings to your fammily.

I just wanted to share the thoughts and prayers I have for your family and your precious daughter Preslee. My daughter, Rachel Taylor called me as soon as she heard about Preslee and she shared with me how special parents you and your husband are and the love y'all share for your sweet little angel. My heart goes out to your entire family at this time. Like other people have shared, there are so many miracles that happened to help Preslee. I have shared your story with all of my family and friends here in Texas and to share the sweet pictures that Rachel took of Preslee.
ReplyDeleteI will continue to look daily at the updates to see how she is doing. My favorite primary song "I am a child of God" is perfect for Preslee since I know that he is there helping her along the way.
Much love,
Julee Tate
