Dear POG
We have had you a little over TWO years now. I begged Pat to get you, I made him drive to Dubois 10 min after I got off the phone with your owner. I PROMISED Pat I would ALWAYS love you and NEVER want to get rid of you... When we arrived at your owner's house and were greeted by your ONE-EYED dad I reassured Pat everything would be okay, there was no way that it could be genetic. I THOUGHT I was in love with you when you looked like this :)
Before I knew it you were chewing our computer cords, running away making us search hours for you only to find you sitting in the dog pound waiting to be put asleep. We paid WAY too much to rescue you. You didn't even learn your lesson because you STILL try to run away. I vacuum more than normal people do because you shed and I even roll your body with a lint roller to get any loose hair! And to top it off, I kept you after you threw up in the middle of the night in our bed and I rolled in it. (she is now kenneled at night)But through all of this Patrick was there on your side.
But now I am starting to LOVE you. Probably because Preslee loves you. The first thing she does in the morning is walk to your kennel to give you a hug. The second thing she does is search for your dog food. (It's a daily occurance stop her from eating it) You two play ALL day, tug of war and fetch are your favorite games. And I don't even mind you sitting at the bottom Preslee's high chair because I have my own vacuum service. When Preslee wears you out you sleep for hours in front of the heater. And to Patricks great pleasure I'm starting to bond with you. Keep this new and improved attitude up and we might end up where we started in the first place... two years ago.
I had a video to upload of them playing, but I couldn't get it to work. I'll add it when I can figure it out.

lol...what a cute puppy! I laughed so hard about you rolling into the throw-up! If you can still love her after that, you can get through anything.
ReplyDeletehilarious. you are just so cute ash. I'm proud of you the little mom of two. Pog is adorable. Remember how I called you to see if we could watch him for the summer or something for Abby.
